StandPilot for macOS

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 21, 2026 · Developed by Roberto Casula

Data collection

StandPilot does not require an account and does not collect, transmit, or sell personal information.

The app does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, telemetry, or third-party data collection services.

Local data

Desk profiles, calibration settings, presets, routines, preferences, and related application data are stored locally on the user’s Mac.

This information is not transmitted to the developer or to an external server.

Bluetooth communication

StandPilot communicates directly between the Mac and the selected height-adjustable desk using Bluetooth Low Energy.

Bluetooth communication is handled using Apple system frameworks. StandPilot does not send Bluetooth or desk information to the developer.

Purchases

StandPilot Pro purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit.

The developer does not receive or store payment information. Apple processes purchases and maintains the authoritative purchase status.

Notifications

StandPilot requests notification permission only when the user enables a routine.

Routine notifications provide reminders and require explicit user interaction. They do not move the desk automatically.

Diagnostic exports

Diagnostic exports are created only when explicitly requested by the user.

Exported files may contain peripheral identifiers, connection events, and error information. They are saved to a location selected by the user and are never automatically uploaded by StandPilot.

Users should review diagnostic files before sharing them with support.

Data retention and deletion

StandPilot retains application data locally for as long as the app remains installed or until the user removes the relevant saved desks and settings.

To remove locally stored desk data:

  1. Open StandPilot Settings.
  2. Remove the saved desks.
  3. Delete the StandPilot application.

Previously exported diagnostic files must be deleted separately from their export location. Because StandPilot does not operate an account or external server, there is no server-side personal data to request or delete.

Third-party services

StandPilot uses Apple system services, including StoreKit, Bluetooth, notifications, and local storage. Use of Apple services is subject to Apple’s privacy policy.

This website is hosted using Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare may process technical information, such as a visitor’s IP address, under its own privacy policy. The StandPilot developer does not use website analytics and does not receive individual visitor statistics.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if StandPilot’s features or data practices change. The effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published.
